Mastersizer

Malvern’s platform for particle sizing across the micron range.

Mastersizer, a famous name introduced for the very first Mie theory laser diffraction particle sizing instrument in the 1980s.

Since then software, electronics, computers and dispersion technologies have all improved. The latest Mastersizer particle size analysers deliver rapid, accurate particle size distributions for both wet and dry dispersions with the minimum of effort. Measuring from nanometer to millimeter particle size ranges, you get exceptional performance in the smallest of footprints, bringing operator-independent measurements that every user can rely on.

Mastersizer 3000 has a  range from 0.01 to 3500 microns on one single lens and a new software platform while the new Hydro and Aero sample dispersion units have class leading performance.

For entry level and maybe lighter use, the new Mastersizer 3000E offers good performance with economy, from 0.1 to 1000 microns with matching manual dispersion feeders. And of course MS3000E can be upgraded in the field.

Mastersizer 2000 was for most users the most widely used particle sizing instrument in the world. It ceased to be manufactured end of 2014 and will receive full support for the usual period.

Mastersizer S that has been used since 1994, ceased manufacture in 2005 and has now passed end of official support; almost a 20 year life cycle.
